Fall Chapter Event Featuring Kenneth D. Lefever, Environmental Recovery Corporation
Born and raised in Lancaster County, Ken is President of Environmental Recovery Corporation of PA and MD, the largest non-hazardous residual waste processing facility in the Mid-Atlantic region. After graduating from Shippensburg University, Ken worked at a Fortune 500 and several Central PA family-owned businesses as Controller and President. He handled Mergers & Acquisitions for a Division of a Fortune 500 business, growing revenues from $30 million to $180 million in 18 months. He has also led successful turnarounds of businesses.
In his current role with ERC, the company has grown 20% per year with a focus on sales, marketing and new technologies in operations. ERC was acquired by Rock Island Capital in February 2018. Ken continues as the President of ERC and assists Rock Island with new acquisitions and growth strategies.
As our speaker, Ken will provide insight into his many M&A experiences in 1) buying and selling companies, 2) selling to Private Equity and 3) working as an operating partner/executive for a Private Equity firm.
Ken currently serves on the board of directors of MANTEC, an organization that is responsible for promoting and encouraging the prosperous development of Pennsylvania manufacturing businesses in Central PA. He was a past board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of York, PA. He is an active member of the local Knights of Columbus. He has been coaching youth sports since graduating from college and currently is a coach for youth basketball.
